📣 New Report Out | Building Our Way to Net Zero: Carbon Dioxide Pipelines in the United States Download the Institute’s latest publication titled “Building Our Way to Net Zero: Carbon Dioxide Pipelines in the United States”, which looks at CO₂ pipeline infrastructure in the US and the vital role these pipelines play in driving CCS projects forward and mitigating climate change. To achieve net-zero emissions by 2050, the U.S. must rapidly deploy CCS, and new CO₂ pipelines will be key to linking capture facilities to storage sites. While the current pipeline network is insufficient, there are actions that can be taken to realize the needed scale-up to achieve our CCS and climate goals. Authored by the Institute's Joey Minervini (He/Him), Errol P., Hugh B., and Jamie Burrows with DNV, the report covers: 🔹The necessity of mitigating CO₂ emissions 🔹The importance of CO₂ pipelines in addressing climate change 🔹The current legal and regulatory landscape for CO2 pipelines in the US 🔹Pipeline safety, risks, and best practice 🔹The need for community engagement Download your copy today 👇 https://lnkd.in/eXfBEEyf
📣 Join us on 22 May as we host a webinar on the upcoming thought leadership report, moderated by our very own Joey Minervini (He/Him), “Building Our Way to Net Zero: Carbon Dioxide Pipelines in the United States.” 💡 Hear from industry experts and the report authors who will share the report’s key messages and facts about: 🔹 Why the world needs to mitigate CO₂ emissions 🔹 Why CO₂ pipelines are vital infrastructure required to address climate change 🔹 The legal and regulatory state of play of CO₂ pipelines in the US 🔹 Pipeline safety, risks, and best practices 🔹 The need for community engagement. The Institute will also be joined by external experts: John Godfrey Principal Consultant, Integrity Solutions & Compliance, Energy Systems Max Kieba Director, Program Development Division, Office of Pipeline Safety, Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration The report will be released prior to the webinar and was authored jointly by the Global CCS Institute and Det Norske Veritas (DNV) with collaboration from the Great Plains Institute, University of Texas, Bureau of Economic Geology, and Process Performance Improvement Consultants, LLC.
