Building Momentum for CCS in the Gulf Region and Around the Globe

23rd February 2021

Location(s): Virtual, Type(s): webinar

15:00 Gulf Standard Time / 11:00 Greenwich Mean Time / 06:00 Eastern Standard Time

Overview

Momentum for carbon capture and storage (CCS) is growing in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region and around the world.  With a growing recognition that CCS is an essential element of a low-carbon future, governments and businesses are rapidly increasing their investment in the technology.  The Global CCS Institute’s Global Status of CCS 2020, released in December, chronicles the recent growth of the industry, and the key project, policy and technology advances in various regions – including the GCC – as well as the need for a major acceleration of CCS deployment.

Join us for a webinar on February 23 as global and regional experts share their knowledge with an audience of industrial and climate change stakeholders based in the GCC region.  After a global roundup presented by the Global CCS Institute, executives from ADNOC, Aramco and Qamar Energy will describe their CCS projects in operation and in planning, and how CCS fits into their strategic business plans.
